Ghost Light is 90% done! We had twenty productive days of shooting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Allied Studios. All scenes were storyboarded and shot-listed in advance. Amir’s directorial debut was quite ambitious, with certain scenes requiring up to thirty background actors and a camera crew that utilized cranes, dollies, and cable cams to create a modern yet stylized look. Kourosh Ahari, the producer, and Leon Melas, the cinematographer, both directors in their own right, were generous with guidance and advice. Our amazing cast, led by Lisa Richards, a veteran Broadway actress, and Cindy Dolenc, a recent winner at Cannes, left us all shaken as they blurred the lines between reality and the preternatural.
