The influence of Gheisar (released two years earlier) is most notable in the scene where Nasir’s older brother (played by Mashayekhi) talks him into dropping his knife. The scene is reminiscent of the famous scene in Gheisar where the uncle dissuades his nephew from using a knife. The uncle in Gheisari was played by none other than Mashayekhi!
